BOWLS VICTORIA COMPETITION SURVEY :
BOWLS VICTORIA ARE CONDUCTING A SURVEY WITH RESPONSES FROM MEMBERS BEING REQUESTED. THIS SURVEY WILL HELP BOWLS VICTORIA MOVE FORWARD WITH POSSIBLE NEW COMPETITION OPTIONS, AND GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT THE BOWLER WANTS TO SEE IN THEIR CALENDAR OF EVENTS.
THERE IS A LINK ON THE BOWLS VICTORIA WEBSITE TO COMMENCE THE SURVEY
THE SURVEY IS OPEN TO ALL BOWLERS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ON LINE FOR THREE MONTHS.

SANDBELT SINGLES ENTRIES CLOSE ON MONDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER.
A suggestion was brought to the Bowling Committee this morning that we look at the starting times for Friday Triples during the summer season. This was discussed and we have decided to put 2 possible starting times to the Friday bowlers this week. The times are 11.30 or as it is now, 12.30. The vote will be by a show of hands. We are looking forward to your participation.

We are looking for volunteers to do the trays on Fridays during the Summer season. You will need to be at the club by 11am to set them up. Usually you will be working with a partner and quite often other early bowlers.
We are also looking for people to go on the cheese roster. You will need to purchase 2 kilos per week. It will need to be cut up and bagged into 2 lots for use on Friday and Saturday. Receipts will need to be given to Margaret Rook so she can reimburse you.
Thank you to Shirley Simpson who will be putting the rosters up tomorrow. Could you put your names down where you can help.
Thank you in anticipation
Barb Sharp for the Bowling Committee.

Bowlers Arm Amendment.
This amendment is going to be made by Bowls Australia regarding the use of a bowling arm.
5.1.8. The bowlers arm once used in a game must be used for the remainder of the game. This does not apply to the rolling of the jack, which can be rolled either by hand or by a bowlers arm.
It's great to see Andrew Tomlinson supporting us, even when in Katherine.
Thanks Andrew. Enjoy.
